No. 116 - Vandam, between Varick and Hudson - 1 of 2.

Updated: Nov 20, 2019

November 18th 2019

At around two-thirty in the afternoon I stepped off of the C train at Spring Street and climbed above ground, heading west toward Hudson Street.

Along Vandam, just after Varick I looked up and to my left across the street stood a brick building under construction. I do not know the extent or degree or purpose of the construction; however, I was stopped in my tracks due to the fact that alongside the building hung deep green metal girders or brackets, which at once turned the building into art. By way of a photograph shot with my iPhone, I wanted to capture the image ––– the green, the building, the misty and grey Manhattan afternoon –––– but my phone was dead.

Tomorrow, at a yet to be determined given point in time during the broad daylight, I will shoot the photo and share the sight.

All of our best,
