No. 169 - Hector's Diner - Washington & Little West Twelfth Street - 1 of 2.

January 10th, 2020

Beneath the High Line there lies a diner where a florentine omelette (with three eggs), served with french fries and two slices of toast made from a bread of your choice (I went with rye) will only set you back thirteen dollars. The beauty and strength of Hector's Diner rests within the statement that it's making to its neighbors and to the Meatpacking District at large: anything elegant and posh requires a simple and clean-cut alternative, and preferably, one which is void of any and all frills.
