No. 21 - At home with Beatriz Kaye and Allison Sharp.

Updated: Aug 25, 2019

August 15th, 2019

Excited to be home again and feel my mind expanding and my heart softening after spending an afternoon in Bed-stuy with Beatriz Kaye and Allison Sharp, friends and roommates who started an online community, blog, and space to share ideas and insights concerning pop culture, which they named 2 Girls 1 Coven. We’ll publish their work, as well as the interview from today in the upcoming issue, No. 7 - Autumn 2019.

Spending an afternoon with them allowed me to think and meditate on the value of friendship; what it feels like and looks like to have someone to bounce ideas off of, and collaborate with, and be inspired by and trust in while moving through and around and about the creative process —— all the better if you live with this person as well.

The fact that they met through a roommate search app deepens my belief that the right people have a way of finding each other. And the fact that they lived together for a year before they really started bonding and creating together reinforces the notion and truth that all good things in life and in art take time.
