No. 215 - A Time for Spring - Nicola Conte ft. Lisa Bassenge.

Believe it or not this bossa nova track that sounds and feels as though it were recorded in a studio filled with champagne glasses overflowing and cigarette smoke blowing this way and that on an April afternoon in 1963, is actually from 2004. A link to the track, along with the lyrics, which call forth with a strong beauty that sways, delights, and commands, below. And if you're left wanting another round, Kind of Sunshine is excellent as well.

Time for Spring

I love to sing

About all the colours of spring

When they'll come

Dancing on a carpet of dreams

And there you are

Soft light breeze

Scent a breeze

And I love to think

About all the poems worth saying

I love to think

About all the flowers and things

Bouquet of buzz

Your eyes will bring

I clearly see

Brighter days

Wild embrace

And I love to think

About all the poems worth saying

I love to think

About all the colours of spring

When they'll come

Dancing on a carpet of dreams

And there you are

Soft light breeze

Scent a breeze

And I clearly see

The brightest days

When you come to me
