No. 219 - It was the summer of Seven-teen!

It was the Summer of Seven-teen!

Ben and Sean and Andrew were living in the house in Bed-stuy on MacDonough Street and I had just moved back to Brooklyn (Midwood) from the Upper East Side.

One year later I would be living in the house with Sean and Andrew and driving up to Connecticut for Ben's wedding.

Six summers before Ben, Sean, and I were just moving to New York and beginning our first semesters at the New School, where we met Andrew, who already had a place ––– that place, on MacDonough Street.

As the years passed and twisted, turned, and changed, we'd all spend at least a year living there. It only made sense that the second Curlew Quarterly interview would take place there on a Sunday afternoon in April ––– the 16th, if I recall. Photography by Emily Fishman.

All of our best,
